The empty bus picture. Every morning we jump on a bus packed full of standing and sleeping Peruvians. This morning the bus pulled up empty. The bus has just suffered a flat tire, the tire had been changed, and the bus was back under way. Of course, no one waited for the roadside work to be completed.
Every month or so we have visitors from various parts of the Mission who come for training or to see new equipment. On Tuesday, Aug 14th, a film crew is coming from Salt Lake to film background on a Missionary recruitment story that is being compiled. I think the Church is serious about wanting more Senior Missionaries. Aside from our normal work week we get to have lots of contact with Church members, young missionaries and participate in church activities on the weekends. The fun we have traveling around Lima and enjoying the culture during the week is all extra.
Bob is getting very good at his work. Each week our work is sent to Salt Lake for reviewed and we have submitted over 100,00 images without any errors. The quality of the books help with our success, but as you can see, the worms have gotten to some of the books before us. The worm books are messy, and hard to work with. Insight into the necessity for surgical masks. We keep in mind that 80% of temple names come from record preservation workers and without these records temples would soon run out of names.
