We Miss Our Family

Being away from family is often difficult.  However, my daughters have been extra accommodating about sharing pictures and family stories.

Alexa, our soon to be 16 granddaughter, got on the phone several days ago and shared her 5-K Mud Run experience with me.  In the past it is hard to get more than a single word answer from her, but I got all the details of her interesting athletic endeavor.  She is a great young woman, and already has universities and colleges interested in her athletic and academic skills.

Often my daughters just turn on Skype and let us watch the kids play in the background.  Kash, 18-mons, will often kiss the computer screen.  It is his effort to give us a kid.  They are all growing us so fast.

Ben, now 6, has turned into his father's shadow and follows Steve everywhere.  Steve took Marin and Ben bow hunting for turkeys near their Colorado home and even shot one of these wily birds.  Steve crawled 100 yards on his hand and knees with bow in hand and made a 40 years shot.  Ben and Marin are pictured below with their trophy.  Marin's comment, "Dad we could have shot one of our chickens and then we would not had to walk so far."
