It is Saturday morning, very early. I find that I cannot
sleep past 4 AM. I wake up just like I was going to work at home. So even on
the weekends I get up and work in the apartment and get ready for the day. I
love the quiet time to read and ponder.
Today I am going with Cher to the embassy garage sale. The
boys will be selling lots of their toys and other items. The embassy has this
sale a few times a year and it is open to the public. It is held in the embassy
parking lot. It takes everyone’s eye to make sure know one walks off with your
stuff.
This weekend is Father’s Day and the Peruvians celebrate
Mother’s and Father’s Day with a half-day at the archives on Friday. We were
told Friday morning the archives would close at noon for Father’s Day. So we
left early and went to the Father’s Day Ceremony at the Administration
Building. They had a slide presentation of the Father’s and their families and
refreshments.
