Archives - Where We Spend Our Hours Each Day

Last week we filmed 15,000 images/records.  It takes books in excellent condition to accomplish that many in a single week.  If the books are old and in poor condition that number can drop to 1,000.  It is good to remember that 80% of the temple names come from record preservation projects, because putting wet pages back together is not always fun.

Record preservation seems to be gained some momentum. Two other couples will arrive in January.  Kris and I are helping with several stake Family History workshops. Next week we will began traveling to other cities.  We will travel to Huancayo on the west side of the Andes. The route will take us over a 15,000-foot mountain pass to a small city.  According to our driver it is the highest paved road in the world.
