Christian, Joana and Valeria

Dec 23

We attended our ward this morning and then went to San Juan De Lurigancho to visit Christina and his family.  (15 Miles on a very hot crowded bus. Kris is a trooper. The bus was even stopped by the police. Another story!).  We went to lunch and Christian informed us they were going to return to La Molina to shop.  Since they were going to be in the area we invited them to our apt.  We are packing for Cusco and I can not take my bike.  I gave it to Christian and you would have thought it was a 1,000.00 dollar gift.  They were able to talk the bus driver into putting the bike on a bus to get back home.

During the week I had given Christian an invitation his ward's Christmas Party.  They attended, but were disappointed to discover we were not there.  It is getting harder and harder to think about leaving for Cusco.  Christian seems concerned about our Cusco departure and when we will depart for the US. As we talked I could see their eyes get glassy.   Christian is a very nice young man. Valeria is a bundle of energy and adores me. She jumps in my arms and will not let me put her down.  After we ate we returned to La Molina in a bus and later Valeria put on the dress we had given her.

We had a nice Sunday.

I am concerned about Christian and his family.  They know there is something special about our relationship, but they are not recognizing the source of the Spirit.  Christian's thinks this feeling is coming from me. While it is my Spirit talking to his, I need to show him the true source of the Gospel Light.  I need to connect him with the Spirit from the Book of Mormon, or something other than Kris and I or he will get lost when we go.  There are things working on both sides.

This has been a great experience for me to see the Spirit working, but someway I need to get Christian past our relationship and connected to the real source of what he is feeling.  Today he was even talking about a trip to the US. He works six days a week 14 hours a day. Not only is the money an issue, but the red tape to get a tourist Visa to the US takes weeks and money.
