OUR LAST SUNDAY IN LIMA
I have never felt so loved and the members didn't even laugh at my poor Spanish during Sunday School.
It was a sad morning with all the good-byes and I think the members felt the same way. We developed some lasting friendships and I think the members could see our regrets about departing. Even the full time sister missionaries had a sad good-by. Several of the ward members play with me on the Area Soccer team. We played a game on Friday, lost, but had a good time. I am sure they will do better without me, but it was a great experience. The comradery has added to the memories of Lima.
During Sunday School we were divided into groups and given topics for discussion. I could tell they wanted me to comment on Section 1 of the D&C. It is necessary to phrase things around my limited Spanish vocabulary, but I got out a reasonable explanation and they enjoyed my attempt. The teacher hung on my every work not only to help, but I think to interpret for the English inept members of the ward. I got a great vote of appreciation and ego boost. However, I think the appreciation was more for my effort than my Spanish expertise.
Some members of the La Molina Viejo Ward say good-by.
we will miss you a lot sister bloomer, i hope you had some fun at cuzco!!
