Payson Temple Update

Received the following e-mail regarding the Payson temple with pictures.

This past week, Kathleen went over to the office where the Payson Temple Missionary couple are.  As you will see, the first 3 pictures are taken from this office - On a little "Observation Deck".  On this day, the construction workers were busily working on the temple.

The picture of the block of stone is what will be on the outside of the temple.  They have already started putting the outside stone on.  If you look closely, in the lower right had corner of the 3 temple pics, you can see where  they have started installing it.  The outside stone will come in 35,000 lbs. slabs, each slab will be brought in on a semi.  The material to make the stone comes from California and the slabs are being made in West Valley City, or West Jordon, I don't remember which.  It will take around 5 months for all the exterior stone to be put in place.

Picture of Elder and Sister Stoddard.  The Stoddard's are a missionary couple from Idaho, serving here at the Payson Temple site until it is completed.  They are at the office Monday through Friday from 9:00-5:00.  You can call them at 801-465-4661 for an appointment if you wish to go other than Monday-Friday - 9:00-5:00.  They will do home evenings, church or family groups - whatever you want.

The last pic is of the office where Elder & Sister Stoddard are during the week.

As you look at the pics from the north, you will see 2 temple entrances.  The entrance on the left (east - front of temple) is for those coming to endowments, sealings, etc.  The entrance on the right (west) is for the youth, coming to do baptisms.
