CCM (MTC) MISSIONARIES LIMA PERU JUNE 11, 2013

We love the Young Missionaries. We love to help them make a connection to their far away familes. We recognize that it is hard being away from home, the ones you love, and it is great to see a face light up at the thought of a phone call to the U.S. For over 15 months when Bob has had contact with his much younger counterparts, he has offered to pass along a few comments to parents. While we worked in Central Lima the contact with young missionaries was not all the frequent.  While we were in Cuzco we had contact with lots of office missionaries and groups of six or eight missionaries would help us one day a week at the National Archives.

Now that we are back in Lima and working at the temple, we see lots of missionaries.  The MTC missionaries visit twice a week and groups from each of the Lima missions also visit during the week. President Cardon (MTC President) gave Bob permission to make calls for missionaries from the MTC. It has been a great opportunity to talk and get to know these young people much better. Yesterday (6-11-13) was the first day we were not working during the morning when missionaries usually arrive. So, Bob walked outside and snapped a few pictures.  It was an instant hit and he made over 50 phone calls yesterday to parents in the U.S.

Thanks parents for doing such a great job raising your sons and daughters.  They are so special and it is an honor to be with them and put a bigger smile on their young faces.

  2. Dear Senior Missionary,

Thank you for the call, the blog address, the pictures and taking care of our kids (the missionaries). It's a blessing to know we as families have you there watching out for them as they focus on learning to serve.
