After two weeks in Lima traffic I have decided Lima
drivers are the best in the world.
Anyone who can squeeze five buses into three traffic lanes, passing
successfully 99 % of the time at 30mph within two inches of other vehicles,
turn right or left form any traffic lane and then stopping on a dime, must be
the best. The bus drivers also
collect fares and keep track of where passengers get on. If you are a PED you best not step off the curb until the green light is in your favor for ten seconds.

My first accident. There are larger buses that have a front and back door. The idea is you enter from the rear and exit via the front door. Tonight I went to pick up some new eye glasses and coming home I stopped a large bus. It was the large green bus that passes our apartment. A passenger was using the rear door for an exit and other passengers told him not to use the door. However, he was blocking the door and I could not enter. The bus driver could not see what was going on and started to pull away. I jumped on the moving bus, but there was not place to sand but in the door way. I was half in and half out of the bus. The doors are more or less automatic, and sure thing the driver closed door. The door now has me pinned between the jam and parts of the folding door. I am not in any pain, but I am completely immobilized and am not going anywhere. The rear passengers see my predicament and start yelling for the driver to open the door. They can not tell if I am in pain or not, but they know I was stuck and can not move. Everyone got a good laugh when it was realized that I was not hurt.
