Protection from Physical Harm

Ever since we arrived in Peru my husband as tried to protect me from the elements. He watches over me with a very protective eye and it makes me feel safe. But yesterday I was telling him he can not protect me from myself and within five minutes my foot caught on a piece of cement and I went down. This is a picture of what happened:

This is my journal that I will publish and print in a book when I return home so I am documenting everything. Bob would prefer I not show this. I spent three hours in the dental chair with Dr Wilfredo Quillatupa. When Bob called the dentist he said be here at 6:30 PM. He worked on me until 9:30 PM. Bob had already had a crown so we already had a dentist. Here is a picture from when he completed the temporary crowns:

I can not bite on the front two teeth so I have to figure out what I can eat. I have already lost 10 pounds so I will have to figure it out quickly. I am fine. Bob is more upset about this than I am.

By the way the two crowns will be $1400 soles or $526. One of my two front teeth was already a crown so that had to come off.

  1. Oh Kris! I'm glad you already had a dentist there. I am so sorry that you needed his services.
