I asked Sister Lopez if they could teach me how to make a couple of Peruvian dishes. We have done many fun things with them. Including a shopping trip to Gamarra two weeks ago. Thursday Garmarra had a riot and about 10 people were killed. It took 5,000 police officers to get things under control. (Brother Lopez works in the Area Office, has an Engineering degree and acquires all new property for the Church. Bob and Brother Lopez have become good friends)
Sister Lopez showed me how to make mashed potatoes layered with chicken, peas and carrots. I taught her how to make my Carmel Sauce. They mashes their potatoes with a Potato hand strainer. I can buy
one on Amazon. After the potatoes have gone through the strainer Sister Lopez added ahi, salt, pepper and mashed them with her hands. A cookie mold is then used to shape the ingredients into a little potato cake. However, their are over 1,000 varieties of potatoes to use in South America.
