Things to Remember

Yesterday while Bob was riding a horse, I stayed and finished reading President Gordon B Hinckley's biography. It was interesting to read the history behind the Family Proclamation. A year or so ago in our Stake Conference there was a visiting Seventy. I do not remember his name but he pointed out that the Family Proclamation and The Living Christ are the warnings to the world from the current day prophets. This thought about the warnings to the world came back came back to me as I was reading.  The Lord's Standards are clear and straight forward. They are not confused like the being reported in the press. Right and wrong is spelled out and The Family Proclamation and The Living Christ is the counsel for our day.

Being in Peru, Bob and I get isolated from the political heat in America. We do follow the news on the internet but we do not have television. I want to testify of God's love for all of us. His's ways are not confusing. They are straight forward and a great blessing to those who follow the warnings.

There is so much good going on in the world and that good is what we as Latter-Day-Saints need to focus on. The good will prevail. The political climate will come and go. But church members who can recognize the good, teach their families correct principle and follow the Family-Proclamation and strengthen their testimony of The Living Christ will have their testimonies strengthen.

Bob and I have told our family that we do not know the impact of political outcomes but we do know the out come that good will prevail in the world and God's ways will win.
