Six Months in Peru

Today Bob and I have been in Peru for six months. We had a wonderful Sunday. The two wards in our building were divided so that our La Molina Viejo Ward has about 75 additional members. Our bishop got up on Sunday to give his testimony and told the ward he had visited every new member in the ward this week. Keep in mind this bishop does not have a car. He said that he had never walked so far in his life. The bishop was so please with the additional members. It is obvious to us that his spirit carried through on Sunday. A good majority of the members attended on Sunday and the feeling was one of a bishop who loves his ward.

The bishop told his ward that he attends the temple on a weekly basis to take is thoughts and prayers to Christ. He is very conscience of getting every member to the temple to work on getting to the temple to receiving the saving ordinances. His love of the members is humbling and he is such a great example of purity and Christ like love. It is easy to feel his spirit and humble heart. We love this ward.

We continue to photograph records in the National Archives and love the work. We have photographed   158,451 records and indexed and arbitrated 166,392 records for Family Search.

We miss everyone, especially our family. Six months and a great experience. Our testimonies are growing and we feel an additional love of the gospel.
