Archive Day off for Hermana Bloomer

Today is Friday, March 9, 2012. I am not at the archives. Bob, Alan and David are cleaning our small area and then will paint the walls and floor. We have visitors coming from Salt Lake next week to visit with the new head of the Justice Palace and Archives. Peru has a New President and like in America the New President appoints new leaders to run the departments. The visitors from Salt Lake will meet the new leader and discuss various topics.

I chose not to go to the archives and smell the paint. We worked hard this week with some very difficult books to copy. The books are from 1931 and are old, water damaged, bug infested, binder is broken and lots of attachments glued to each page. It takes about one day to do one book. There are 400 pages per book but it turns out to be about 650 pages with the attaches. I will be glad when 1931 birth record books are completed.
